Yes — UK citizens can legally buy property in Japan with no restrictions on foreign ownership.
We help make the process easier to understand and guide you through each step from the UK.
No! You don’t need to speak Japanese at all.
We help with translation and communication so everything is explained clearly in English and nothing gets lost in translation which is important with contracts and negotiations.
We guide you step by step:
You choose or enquire about a property
We explain and translate all details
We contact the agent or seller for you
We support the communication between yourself and the seller at all stages if you employ us to help you (a fee will apply for any services we provide. Further details can be discussed about our fees upon contact).
From September onwards we can visit and video the property for you, explaining as we examine the property for you any potential problems that may be visible on first inspection. If you like the property and see potential we would advice a though inspection by third parties such as insurance and fore and safety department for a more thorough inspection with documented problems and potential problems report.
Should you wish to visit yourself we can communicate with the sellers, drive you to the property for inspection and show you the local neighborhood. Remember however, that we are not real estate agents, we are simply there to translate for you, offer friendly support, and put you in contact with the right agencies with our help in any communication barriers which may exist between seller and buyer.(This service will incur a fee).
We help with:
providing listings from trusted sellers and estate agents, brokers for your ease of browsing experience.
Searching for suitable properties for you (from September onwards we will be in Japan videoing potential properties which meet the requirements you provide to us).
Translation and communication.
Contact with agents and sellers.
No. The process can be completed from the UK or any English speaking country, but it may be advisable for you to see properties in person. Buying a Japanese Property can be done remotely, but we would advise seeing the community, the property, the area, the culture and scenery in person as these experiences cannot be gained through a photograph or video.
Do you handle legal work?
We don’t act as lawyers or estate agents, but we help you understand the process clearly and communicate with the right professionals in Japan if this is required, translate the documents for your signing, and any communications associated with the process.
We make sure you always know what is happening through open and friendly commuication.
Buying property in Japan can feel complex at first.
We help make everything clearer, more supported, and easier to follow so you feel confident throughout the process.
